The newly-opened Gift and Art Gallery at Nehring’s Sendik’s on Downer is pleased to announce the Solo Exhibition opening reception of May Klisch Art on Friday, September 6, from 6-8 p.m. The show will feature select oil and watercolor works from Ms. Klisch’s portfolio, as well as prints and gifts derived from her art. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of her work during the show as well as throughout September will benefit three neighborhood nonprofit organizations: Historic Water Tower Neighborhood, Lake Park Friends & North Point Lighthouse. Buyers will have to option of designating which (or all) of the three organizations will benefit from the proceeds of their purchase. The event is open to everyone, and refreshments (courtesy of Sendik’s) will be served. Shorewood resident, May Klisch, has been affiliated with the North Point Lighthouse as its former Operations Manager from 2008-2017. Through that time she has worked closely with the other two organizations and has developed a love for the North Point neighborhood and its rich history, particularly the North Point Lighthouse.
