Help needed! You can be a part of an exciting winter project and help your neighbors and greater community enjoy the beauty of Lake Park this winter.
Lake Park Friends has purchased a “Nice Rink” ice rink liner in order to provide a quality skating rink at the park this winter that will be better than ever!
We are looking for more volunteers to join our ice rink committee – people who enjoy construction jobs, people with a passion for ice skating and/or hockey, people who love to be outdoors!
We will need at least 20-30 volunteers over the course of the winter to help with the necessary construction and maintenance tasks, as well as “take down”.
Bill Haury has met with the ice rink group at Center Park and he will outline the volunteer tasks involved in the construction and maintenance of the rink. He will outline the various duties and we will assign volunteers to job groups. Construction is likely to begin on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. He will also discuss equipment needs, and look for donations of shovels and snow blowers.
We welcome anyone who has an interest and wants to learn more and get involved!
