Our next LAKE PARK READS book club selection will be Saving Central Park, a 2018 history and memoir written by Elizabeth Barlow Rodgers. This book is an inspired choice for book club as there are many current challenges facing Lake Park that could easily be informed through an exploration of Central Park’s maturation. Among them are financial crisis, general park neglect, management of the grounds, political influence, recruiting and managing a volunteer work force and long-term maintenance of existing infrastructure.
