Catalano Square - Third Ward

A 23-foot replica of Earth’s moon will be raised above Catalano Square in the Historic Third Ward as part of a pop-up festival Friday through Sunday (Aug. 9-11) celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing.

The inflatable artwork, Museum of the Moon, was made with NASA photography, giving a hyper-real view of the lunar surface.

Members of the LPF Board will be there Saturday night serving beverages (and accepting tips!) Stop by the beer tent at Menomonee & Broadway streets, and say hi, get a beer or lemonade, and help support LPF! Volunteers will be there for six hours starting at 5 p.m.

All tips go to our nonprofit work to preserve the park we all love! For Under One Moon Festival details, click here.
