Nature Committee
Supports the stewardship of the park’s natural areas and provides programs concerning the ecology of the park and the natural world.
Wednesday Work Group
Every Wednesday, weather permitting, the Nature Committee needs volunteers for a variety of natural areas projects such as: weeding, mulching trees, planting in the ravines, and more!
Weed Out
If you enjoy the outdoors and don’t mind getting a little dirty, adopt an area of the park and rid it of garlic mustard weed.
History Committee
Maintains the archival files of the park and LPF, plans and executes programs and events related to the park’s origin and history, performs ongoing research.
Development Committee
Organizes and facilitates events including the annual fundraiser and manages our fundraising strategy to ensure the continued support of programs and projects.
Recreation Committee
Encourages recreational use of the park, including the ice rink, July 4th activities and tennis.
Music Committee
Orchestrates the summer concert series and helps ensure an enjoyable concert experience.
Communications & Marketing Committee
Develops ways to effectively communicate with Lake Park Friends Members, local agencies and partners and the community to promote the mission of Lake Park Friends and its events and activities.
Improvements Committee
Oversees park improvement projects, including identifying, prioritizing, and implementing new projects and maintenance of past projects.
